The Asian Development Bank (ADB) should establish a camp office in Karachi to improve coordination in an effort to address ongoing problems with Pakistan’s first biogas public transportation project, namely the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Red Line, and have it finished on schedule, according to Sindh Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon.
In a meeting with a senior ADB delegation that was held at his home on Tuesday, he floated this idea. In addition to Senior Operations Manager Lisa Jane, Senior Project Officer Shaukat Shafi, Project Coordinator Tahir Sheikh, and Consultant Sadiq Aftab, the ADB delegation was led by Senior Urban Transport Specialist Lloyd Wright. Abdul Haleem Sheikh, managing director of the Sindh Mass Transit Authority, Zubair Chana, and Abdul Haleem Sheikh, general manager of infrastructure Trans Karachi Pir Sajjad and others also attended the meeting.
