Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood announced on Thursday that the country’s Matriculation and Intermediate examinations will be held in May- June. He also announced that the full syllabus will come under testing.
The O and A level examinations will be held after the national-level exams.
Shafqat Mahmood announced these decisions taken by the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers’ Conference (IPEMC) held in Karachi.
“Syllabus will be completed in this academic year,” clarified Shafqat Mahmood, adding that while
the pandemic has badly affected the education sector, it is time to get back on track.
He urged for joint efforts to be made to fully restore the education activities across the country.
Mahmood said that facilities are being provided to educational institutions to take anti-coronavirus measures.
He said that IPEMC also held discussions over the new procedures of examination envisaged by the federal board. The minister said that they are making efforts to design a combined academic calendar.
