Deputy Inspector General Police (DIG) East Muqaddas Haider, has promised that law enforcement will take action against fraud in the real estate industry.

During a meeting with the Association of Builders and Developers, the DIGP made this announcement (ABAD).

Additionally, he declared that the Safe City Program would instal a million security cameras throughout the city to create a secure environment for both residents and employees of businesses.

The DIG also mentioned the formation of a committee working with ABAD to address land-grab and encroachment issues.

He further stated that each month, he would personally review the committee’s review.

It is vital to mention that land grabbing has become chronic in Karachi, with frequent judicial involvement leading to prolonged court battles.

The KDA and SBCA had planned to develop a mechanism to address unresolved land ownership and transfer issues.
