Ramadan package will benefit people across the country

The Economic Coordination Committee, while approving the Ramadan relief package of Rs 8.2 billion, said that the Ramadan package would be for the people of the country instead of 20 million people.

A meeting of the ECC was held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen in which other senior officials including federal ministers, aides and advisors participated.

A statement issued after the meeting said that the deferred loan measures have been approved by the G20 countries. Debt deferral measures will be taken with 15 G20 countries.

Approval of bank guarantee of Rs 21 billion for LNG top pipeline project, re-supply of 15 MMCFD gas from Jhal Magsi Fields and supply of 110 MMCFD gas from Mari Gas Fields has also been approved.

The minimum price for the 2022-23 cotton crop has been fixed at Rs.200 million technical supplementary grant for Military Accounts Department and 3.50 billion grant for Pak University of Engineering and Emerging Technology.

Similarly, Rs 11.73 billion has been sanctioned for PSO, oil marketing companies for differentiation of oil prices. The amount of this supplementary grant will be provided till March 31.
