Australia’s Matthew Wade, a wicket-keeper and batter, was selected by Karachi Kings in the Platinum Category for the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Thursday.
Wade, who played a key role in Australia’s victory over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2021 semifinal, will make his PSL debut.
Wade’s three consecutive sixes off Pakistani pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi secured Australia’s spot in the T20 World Cup 2021 championship game.
The left-handed batter scored 41 runs in just 17 balls in that game.
“Wait o’ Wade! The finisher is here,” wrote the Karachi Kings on their official Twitter handle.
