Petrol dealers association calls for strike on Nov 25, stations to remain shut

The All Pakistan Petrol Pumps Dealers Association has announced that it will observe a nationwide strike on Nov 25 in protest of the government’s failure to increase the dealers’ margin by 6pc.

All Pakistan Petrol Pumps Dealers Association Information Secretary Nauman Ali Butt said on Monday that petrol filling stations across the country would remain closed on Nov 25.

He said the government has not accepted their demands and that no negotiations would be held until the margin is raised by 6pc.

The association had earlier threatened to go on strike on Nov 3 and then again on Nov 5 but had withdrawn the call after being repeatedly assured that their demands will be met.
