The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has clarified that no decision has been taken yet to ban airspace for Iran. A spokesperson for the CAA, as reported by ARY News on Thursday, stated that they have not received any instruction regarding a ban on commercial flights between Iran and Pakistan.

While no official decision on airspace closure has been made, the CAA sources noted that strict monitoring of flights from the western direction, including Iran, has been initiated. The CAA is implementing heightened vigilance for incoming flights from the western borders.

Sources further emphasized that the airspace of Pakistan and Iran remains open for commercial flights. Tensions between the two countries escalated after Iran’s missile strike in Pakistan on Tuesday night, prompting retaliatory strikes from Pakistan. On Wednesday, Pakistan recalled its ambassador from Iran and blocked Tehran’s envoy from returning to Islamabad. The situation is being closely monitored for any further developments.
