Trans Group, a leading sports talent hunt firm, has announced an exciting opportunity for passionate young cricketers in Karachi to train with the best in South Africa. The Nelson Mandela talent hunt program, spearheaded by former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, aims to provide opportunities to U19 cricketers in the city.
Sarfaraz, who led Pakistan to victory in the U19 World Cup in 2006, has been appointed as the brand ambassador of the talent hunt program. He expressed his confidence that this initiative would transform the cricket landscape in Karachi during a media address at the National Bank Stadium.
The Nelson Mandela talent hunt program will conduct trials in different zones of the city to select players. The trials, which are scheduled for the third week of May, are open to U19 cricketers. However, players who have previously been selected in any Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) trials or have participated in any PCB tournaments will not be eligible. The age limit for participation is below 19.
Around 60 players will be chosen through the trials, and they will form four teams. From these teams, a final squad of 15 players will be selected to travel to South Africa for valuable exposure and training.
Sarfaraz expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative and thanked the South African High Commissioner, Mthuthuzeli Madikiza, for his efforts in launching the program. Alongside Sarfaraz, Fawad Alam and other prominent Karachi cricketers will oversee the trials.
This talent hunt program presents a unique opportunity for young cricketers in Karachi to showcase their skills and learn from the best in South Africa. Aspiring players are encouraged to fill out the registration form to participate in the trials and seize this chance to enhance their cricketing careers.
