Lunches, dinners, hi-tea banned at govt offices: Sindh govt

The Sindh government has announced a number of austerity measures, including a ban on high-tea consumption, a reduction in utility quotas for government employees, a ban on the purchase of all vehicles, and the creation of new positions.

According to the notification, the government has prohibited lunches, dinners, and high teas at government offices as well as those of its affiliated departments and autonomous organisations.

Furthermore, the government’s and offices’ utility consumption would be reduced by 10%, and the purchase of office equipment and supplies would be restricted.

The provincial government has asked its employees to limit unnecessary travel for meetings and to promote zoom meetings at government offices.
