Love Story in PUBG takes tragic turn as Pakistani woman and Indian man face legal consequences

The popular online game PUBG has once again grabbed headlines as a love story unfolded between a woman gamer from Pakistan and an Indian man. However, their high-stakes adventure to unite in India has led to a tragic ending.

Seema Ghulam Haider, a 27-year-old woman, and Sachin Meena, a 22-year-old man, connected through the virtual gaming platform a few years ago and fell in love. Seema, along with her four young children, illegally traveled to India in May to be with Sachin in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

The couple spent over a month together before being detained by authorities. They have been held for 14 days following a court order, while Seema’s children remain with her. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.

Seema, who was previously married to Ghulam Haider from Sindh, Pakistan, in 2014, started playing PUBG to pass the time while her husband worked in Saudi Arabia. She met Sachin through the game, exchanged phone numbers, and developed a close relationship.

Alleging abuse by her previous husband, Seema emigrated to India to marry Sachin. However, Ghulam Haider denies the accusations, claiming that Seema sold their Pakistani home and fled with their children.

According to the police, Seema and Sachin initially met in Nepal before returning to their respective countries. Seema later returned to Nepal with her children, selling her husband’s house to finance the trip. Sachin, a grocery shop owner, rented a room for Seema and her children in India.

The incident came to light when Seema and Sachin sought legal counsel regarding Seema’s residency in India. The lawyer, suspicious of their situation, informed the authorities. Seema and her children were found carrying Pakistani passports when attempting to get married in India, leading to their discovery by the police in Rabupura.

Sachin’s father was arrested for hosting Seema without a valid visa. The couple seeks assistance from the Indian government for their marriage, while Ghulam Haider demands the return of his wife and children to Pakistan, claiming that Seema was “seduced” by PUBG.

This love story, which unfolded in the virtual world of PUBG, has now taken a tragic turn with legal consequences for Seema and Sachin.
