University of Karachi Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi announced a 50 percent increase in the students’ admission fund to facilitate candidates who are facing financial problems amid Covid-19 wave.
“Students who could not secure admission at the university due to their financial conditions would now be able to get admission in the campus,” the press statement quoted the VC as saying as he addressed KU Directorate of Administrations.
KU VC Iraqi said it is the utmost priority of the administration to help students who fail to secure admission at the University of Karachi due to financial difficulties.
“The educational year of many students is wasted as they do not have the capacity of paying admission and tuition fees.”
The university is set to announce 2021 intake on November 23, while entry-test-based admissions would be offered in the department of Pharmacy (both morning and evening shifts), Physical Therapy, Visual Studies, and various other bachelors and masters degree programs for the morning shift.
He further said that the University of Karachi is always ready to help needy and intelligent students. He shared that a large number of the KU students are also taking benefit from the fully-funded scholarship of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
