FIFA World Cup 2022, which commences in Qatar on Sunday, will use Sialkot-made football ‘Al-Rihalla’.
‘Al-Rilahla’ has been manufactured in Sialkot, a city that is considered to be the home of the best sports equipment in the world. About 600 million footballs are said to be manufactured here every year, which is more than half of the world’s total production.
This is the third time that Sialkot-made footballs will be used in the World Cup.
Al-Rihala is designed while keeping Qatar’s eco-friendly policies in mind, the materials used in its production are bio-based recycling materials and environmentally friendly water-based chemicals.
The ball consists of 20 panels and is considered one of the best footballs in the world.
