Chinese naval fleet’s Karachi visit strengthens maritime collaboration: Baqar

Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Maqbool Baqar welcomed the Chinese naval fleet at Karachi Port, emphasizing that joint exercises promote regional peace and security, enhance maritime collaboration, and create new opportunities for bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and China.

Speaking at a reception hosted by Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong for the Chinese Naval Fleet, Baqar highlighted the positive impact of the fleet’s visit on maritime collaboration between the two nations. The event was attended by Home Minister Haris Nawaz, Vice Admiral Mouhammad Faisal, Chinese Navy Fleet Commander Sun Bo, and other dignitaries.

Baqar expressed the strong bond between the people of Pakistan and China, noting that CPEC-related connectivity has further strengthened their ties. He emphasized that Sindh has become a home for Chinese brothers, fostering cooperation under both CPEC and non-CPEC projects.

Reflecting on his recent visit to Beijing, the Chief Minister praised China’s achievements in human development, citing advancements in business centers, transportation, and infrastructure. He commended China for surpassing set targets for development and highlighted the mutual respect, love, and fraternity between the two nations.

The visit of the Chinese naval fleet to Karachi holds significance in fostering regional security, strengthening naval cooperation, and deepening the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China.
