The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) will hold a public meeting at Karachi’s Bagh-e-Jinnah on Aug 29.
The Deputy Commissioner East on Thursday issued a no-objection certificate (NOC) to the opposition alliance to go ahead with its plans to hold the rally, but with Covid-19 SOPs in place.
The NOC has clearly directed the organisers to ensure that no main road is shut down or any obstruction caused to the public and traffic. Moreover, the rally needs to end by 8pm.
On August 11, PDM head Maulana Fazlur Rehman had announced that the alliance will stage a “power show” in Karachi on August 29.
