MQM announces public rally for March 12

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan (MQM-P) has scheduled a public rally on March 12 at Karachi’s Bagh-e-Jinnah.

In this context, the MQM-P has called a mass workers gathering for Sunday at the party’s temporary headquarters in Bahadurabad.

The general employees will be allocated duties for the rally preparations during the meeting. Furthermore, the meeting will go through the public engagement effort.

Meanwhile, MQM-P deputy convener Anees Qaim Khani and Rabita committee members visited Bagh-e-Jinnah.

Last month, the MQM-P vowed to perform ‘power shows’ in protest of ‘flawed’ constituency delimitations after the Sindh government failed to announce the increased number of union councils (UCs).

The decision was taken during an ‘important meeting’ of the MQM-P Rabta Committee, which discussed the country’s political situation and issues regarding delimitations of constituencies, census and agreement with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

Rabta Committee also raised concern over the non-issuance of the notification of the increased number of union councils (UCs) in Karachi.

In this regard, MQM-P has decided to hold a power show in Karachi against the delimitation and violation of an agreement with PPP. Sources further claimed that the party would hold a public rally on March 12 at Karachi’s Bagh-i-Jinnah.
