Cricket fans from around the world will be able to register for tickets for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 from October 1, 2026.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) will open the ticket ballot alongside the official announcement of the tournament schedule at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) in Cape Town.

The 14th edition of the Men’s Cricket World Cup will be hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia next year.
Fans will be able to register their interest in matches across all three host countries through the ballot process. The tournament is set to be Africa’s biggest Cricket World Cup yet.
Entry into the ballot will be free and will not be based on a first come, first served system. All valid entries submitted between October 1 and November 21, 2026, will have an equal chance of being selected, regardless of when they are submitted.
How the ticket ballot works
Fans can apply for tickets to as many matches as they want, with each match treated as a separate entry.
Applicants can request up to four tickets per match and select their preferred ticket category during the registration process.
If demand for a particular match is higher than the number of available tickets, a randomized ballot will be used to determine which successful applicants can purchase tickets.
There is no payment required to enter the ballot. Fans who are selected will be contacted by email and given a specific period in which to purchase the tickets allocated to them.
For matches that are not oversubscribed, registered fans will be given access to purchase tickets. Any tickets that remain available could be offered during later sales phases.
However, entering the ballot does not guarantee that fans will receive tickets.
The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 will feature 14 teams playing 57 matches across 12 venues in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
The 14-team tournament will begin with a Super Series stage involving the 12th, 13th and 14th-ranked teams, with one team progressing to the Group stage.
The Group stage will consist of two groups of six teams, with the top three teams from each group advancing to the Super Seven stage. The next highest-placed team across the two groups will also qualify for the Super Seven.
In the Super Seven stage, all seven teams will play each other in a round-robin format. The top four teams will then advance to the semi-finals, followed by the final.
The tournament will be the 14th edition of the men’s Cricket World Cup and will bring the competition back to Africa for another major global cricket event.
