This sustained decline reflects ongoing pressure on the yellow metal, though the consistent size of the daily drops suggests a controlled and orderly correction rather than a panic-driven sell-off.
In 10 grams, 24-karat gold decreased by Rs. 1,544 to Rs. 389,176, while 22-karat gold fell by Rs. 1,416 to Rs. 356,757. The steady declines across all variants indicate persistent selling pressure.
The dip was driven by continued weakness in global markets. The international gold price fell by $18 to $4,314, marking its lowest level in recent weeks. This global softness provided a bearish cue for local traders.
Since the late August peak above Rs. 483,000, gold has now retreated approximately Rs. 29,000 per tola. The metal remains above the July lows near Rs. 421,000, but the failure to mount a recovery suggests investors remain cautious amid an uncertain global economic backdrop.
A day earlier, gold rate in Pakistan saw a modest decline on Tuesday, with the yellow metal extending its losing streak for a second consecutive session. The 24-karat gold rate fell by Rs. 1,800, closing at Rs. 455,736 per tola.
This gradual downward drift suggests that selling pressure remains but is not intensifying. The controlled nature of the decline indicates that the market is undergoing a measured correction rather than a panic sell-off.
Back in April 2026, Pakistan’s bullion market witnessed a strong recovery as gold prices bounced back sharply following a rise in international markets.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs 4,400, settling at Rs 483,962. Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10 grams rose by Rs 3,772 to Rs 414,919, while 22-karat gold per 10 grams gained Rs 3,458, closing at Rs 380,356.
