The federal government has issued the official notification for holidays scheduled in December 2025, giving citizens welcome news as two consecutive days off have been confirmed.
According to the notification, Thursday, December 25, 2025, will be observed as a public holiday across the country to mark Quaid-e-Azam Day, honouring the birth anniversary of Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

In addition, Friday, December 26, 2025, has also been declared a public holiday exclusively for Christians, following the Christmas festivities.
The two-day break means Christian employees will receive back-to-back holidays, while the general public will benefit from the national holiday on December 25.
