Karachi police arrested a man and his wife in the Gulshan-e-Maymar area earlier this week in caught-in-the-act situation as they were trying to snatch a rickshaw.
The couple, according to police, is believed to be a part of a gang that snatches rickshaws and covertly supplies drugs using women as covers to keep the notorious business inconspicuous and running.
The police said they seized 1.5kgs of drugs and an imported pistol from their custody.
Police said the other three suspected members of the gang are still at large and that raids are being conducted to arrest them.
A case has been lodged against the ‘couple’ on the complaint of a local resident, police confirmed.
