Saudi Arabia has made a major change in its pilgrimage policy, allowing people holding any type of visa to perform Umrah in the Kingdom.

The Saudi Arabia Umrah visa changes aim to make the holy journey easier for Muslims around the world.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that the decision is part of ongoing reforms to simplify travel procedures and improve religious services.

Officials said the initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to boost religious tourism, strengthen cultural connections, and make spiritual journeys more accessible for international visitors coming to the Kingdom.

The ministry confirmed that this rule applies to holders of multiple visa categories, including personal visit visas, family visit visas, e-tourist visas, transit visas, and valid work visas.

A spokesperson said the move reflects the Kingdom’s dedication to ensuring that Muslims can perform their religious obligations with convenience, comfort, and peace of mind without facing unnecessary travel barriers.

The ministry also promoted the Nusuk Umrah Platform, a digital service that helps users plan and complete their pilgrimage online. It offers booking options, permits, and official package details.

Through the Nusuk system, travelers can easily select service providers, choose hotel and transport options, and manage schedules efficiently, saving time and ensuring a smooth Umrah experience.

Authorities explained that these steps demonstrate the commitment of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince to provide pilgrims with a safe, spiritual, and well-organised atmosphere.
