Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has announced 4,400 new teaching jobs as part of a large-scale education and health development plan for the province.
In a statement, Memon said four new IBA community colleges will also be built across Sindh. Additionally, 34,000 schools will be granted financial autonomy, allowing them to manage their funds independently.
The Sindh Education Endowment Fund will give scholarships to thousands of deserving students, ensuring continued support for higher education.
In the health sector, the Sindh government has approved a Rs326.5 billion budget. The funds will support key projects including SIUT, NICVD, Chandka Medical College Hospital, PPHI, and the expansion of ambulance services.
Memon also said the Benazir Hari Card program has started, offering subsidies to 200,000 farmers in a phased rollout.
“These measures are part of the Sindh government’s broader plan to revive the economy and deliver quick relief to the public,” he added.
