Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday launched the E-Stamping system in the province to digitise the stamp duty process and make it easier for citizens to obtain stamp challans.

The system has been introduced through a joint initiative of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), the Board of Revenue, Government of Sindh, and the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP).
E-Stamping System Launched in Sindh
The launch ceremony was held at the Sindh Chief Minister House and was attended by Revenue Minister Makhdoom Mehboob, Chief Secretary Sindh, the Senior Member Board of Revenue, the President of National Bank of Pakistan and other officials.
Addressing the ceremony, CM Murad Ali Shah described the introduction of E-Stamping as an important milestone for the province.
He said digital technology was transforming systems and services around the world, adding that Sindh was also moving towards greater use of digital solutions in government services.
Stamp Duty Reduced to 1%
Murad Ali Shah announced that the stamp duty rate has been reduced from 2% to 1%.
He said the E-Stamping system would allow citizens to obtain their stamp duty challans either from National Bank branches or through an online system.
The digital system is expected to simplify the process and improve transparency in the collection of stamp duty.
Government Aims to Increase Revenue
The Sindh government expects the new system to contribute to improved revenue collection while supporting efforts to expand the provincial tax net.
The launch is part of the government’s broader push towards digitising public services and making revenue-related processes more accessible to citizens.
