Pakistani junior squash players showcased remarkable talent on the second day of the 32nd Asian Junior Squash Championship in Gimcheon, Korea, with six players advancing to the quarterfinals after impressive victories, including significant wins against Indian competitors.
In the boys under-19 category, Abdullah Nawaz delivered a commanding performance, defeating India’s Tavneet Singh Mundra in straight games with scores of 11-4, 11-5, and 11-6.
The Boys Under-15 category featured two standout victories for Pakistan. Ahmed Rayan Khalil achieved a major upset by overcoming India’s second-seeded Shreyansh Jha in straight games, with scores of 11-4, 11-5, and 12-10. Meanwhile, top-seeded Nauman Khan easily defeated Malaysia’s Muhammad Ifwat bin Zulkifli with scores of 11-6, 11-2, and 11-2.
In the boys under-13 category, top seed Sohail Adnan continued the winning streak for Pakistan, overpowering Malaysia’s Mior El Fayedh Bin Mior Ahmad Nazril with scores of 11-3, 11-4, and 11-5.
On the girls’ side, Mahnoor Ali secured a convincing victory against Hong Kong’s Cheung Hei Kwai Myra in the girls under-13 event, winning with scores of 11-8, 11-2, and 11-7.
