- Latest render suggests full-width rear camera panel design
- Panel appears in matching phone color with smooth finish
- Features include triple lenses, flash, LiDAR, and microphone
A new leak hints that the Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro camera redesign could be a major visual upgrade for the users.
A video shared by 3D designer @kanedacane on X reveals a camera layout overhaul, quite different from current iPhones.
Instead of the usual square bump in the top left, the render shows a camera panel that runs across the phone’s entire back width. It looks similar to the camera bar on Google’s Pixel 9 Pro series, giving a more modern and uniform appearance from edge to edge.
What stands out in this render is the color of the camera panel. It matches the rest of the phone’s back — a change from earlier leaks that had a contrasting look. The device is shown in dark gray, so the full impact of colors isn’t clear yet, but the design gives it a sleek, seamless vibe.
According to the render, the camera panel slightly rises from the back but flows smoothly into the phone’s body. The triple camera lenses are arranged neatly, along with the flash, LiDAR sensor, and microphone. This placement is notably cleaner and more integrated than before.

In current iPhone models like the iPhone 16 Pro, the flash sits above the third lens, while the LiDAR sensor and microphone are placed below. The new setup offers a more balanced design.
If this leak is accurate, Apple is possibly moving toward a more futuristic design philosophy — emphasizing function, form, and visual unity in the iPhone 17 Pro camera redesign.
This new look could help the iPhone stand out once again in an increasingly competitive smartphone market. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 series in September 2025.
