In a move to curb organized begging, Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi directed the Deputy Commissioners to continue the crackdown against professional beggars in Karachi.
Following the directives, authorities conducted operations at traffic signals, intersections, and market areas, leading to the arrest of 11 professional beggars.
In a recent operation in District East, Assistant Commissioner Jamshed Quarter Essa Khan arrested eight beggars at Bahadurabad Char Minar, while Assistant Commissioner Ferozabad detained three more at Noorani Kabab Signal.
FIRs were registered, and the individuals were handed over to the police for further action, marking a notable step in addressing the organized begging issue in Karachi.
