In a brazen act of robbery, armed suspects executed a daring heist, making off with a bag filled with an estimated 1.18 million rupees worth of mobile phones, leaving a shopkeeper stunned and Karachi authorities on high alert.
The dramatic incident unfolded on Raja Ghazanfar Ali Road in Karachi, where the audacious criminals managed to escape after snatching the bag along with two cartons from the shopkeeper.
According to the victim’s statement to the police, the stolen bag contained a staggering sum of 1.18 million rupees’ worth of mobile phones. In addition to the valuable electronics, a cash amount of 1.20 thousand rupees was also seized by the robbers.
Providing further details, the shopkeeper recounted that he owned a store in Quaid Abad and had journeyed to Sadar Mobile Market to purchase goods. On his way back to Quaid Abad, he found himself targeted by the armed assailants, who swiftly carried out their audacious theft.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 PM in the Artillery Field area. Astonishingly, the criminals managed to pull off the robbery without resorting to the use of weapons, further adding to the intrigue surrounding the daring act.
Despite the efforts of law enforcement, the investigation has been complicated by the absence of CCTV cameras at the crime scene. This lack of visual evidence has hampered the progress of the case, making it challenging for authorities to apprehend the culprits.
Moreover, the absence of an International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) pass has resulted in the non-registration of the case, further underscoring the difficulties faced by law enforcement in cracking this audacious robbery.
