The index traded between an intraday high of 178,042.78 and a low of 177,165.27, compared with the previous close of 177,322.77.
Trading activity remained robust, with the exchange recording 658.33 million shares in volume and a traded value of approximately Rs31.45 billion across 372,677 trades.
Market breadth remained tilted toward decliners, with 202 stocks advancing, 257 declining and 109 remaining unchanged, out of a total of 568 securities.

On the main board, Bank of Punjab (BOP) emerged as the most actively traded stock, with 91.71 million shares changing hands. The stock rose Rs2.42 to Rs34.97, after trading as high as Rs35.44 and as low as Rs32.32.
Cnergyico PK (CNERGY) followed closely with 90.86 million shares traded, closing at Rs14.41, up Rs0.37.
WorldCall Telecom (WTL) recorded 46.40 million shares in volume and closed at Rs1.17, while Pakistan Refinery (PRL) gained Rs4.52 to Rs94.93 on turnover of 29.13 million shares.
Among other actively traded stocks, Fauji Foods (FNEL) declined Rs0.04 to Rs1.20, with 23.86 million shares traded. Crescent Steel & Allied Products (CSIL) advanced Rs0.16 to Rs5.88 on volume of 22.15 million shares.

K-Electric (KEL) closed at Rs7.15, with 14.02 million shares changing hands.
The session’s overall traded value stood at approximately Rs31.45 billion, indicating continued investor participation despite the mixed market breadth.
A day earlier, PSX closed almost unchanged, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index declining 47.93 points, or 0.03%, to settle at 177,322.77 as investors remained cautious despite strong trading activity.
The index moved between an intraday high of 178,650.01 and a low of 177,196.28, compared with the previous session’s close of 177,370.70.
Trading activity remained robust during the session, with 614.06 million shares changing hands across the exchange. The total traded value stood at approximately Rs34.55 billion, while investors executed 408,043 trades.
