This marks the extension of silver’s recovery from the multi-year lows near Rs. 6,000 seen in mid-July, with prices now having climbed approximately Rs. 1,000 per tola. The silver market uptrend continues to build momentum.
In 10 grams, 24-karat silver increased by Rs. 69 to Rs. 6,026. The consistent uptick across both measurements suggests sustained buying interest in the white metal.
Karachi silver prices today, August 17, 2026:
- Silver, 24K per tola: Rs. 7,029 (+80)
- Silver, 24K per 10 grams: Rs. 6,026 (+69)
The advance was supported by a positive global backdrop. The international silver price per ounce rose by $0.80 to $65.50, continuing its steady recovery. This global silver strength provides a supportive environment for local prices.
Since its peak above Rs. 10,000 per tola in early March, silver remains significantly below those highs, but the recovery from the July lows now represents a bounce of approximately 17%. The white metal’s higher volatility continues to result in sharper percentage moves compared to gold.
