Pakistan’s left-arm pace sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi has reached a remarkable milestone in international cricket, becoming only the sixth Pakistani pacer to take 400 wickets across all three formats of the game.

Shaheen achieved this feat by dismissing Mominul Haque in the first Test against Bangladesh, claiming his fourth wicket in the match and etching his name in Pakistan cricket history.

The 26-year-old now stands alongside some of the greatest names in Pakistani pace bowling, joining an elite club that includes the country’s cricketing legends.

Leading the list is the legendary Wasim Akram, who remains Pakistan’s greatest wicket-taker across all formats with a staggering 916 wickets.

He is followed by Waqar Younis with 789 wickets, World Cup winning captain Imran Khan with 544 wickets, Shoaib Akhtar with 438 wickets and Umar Gul with 427 wickets.

Shaheen now sits sixth on this prestigious list with 400 wickets, having played 211 matches across Tests, ODIs and T20Is since making his international debut in 2018.
