Authorities further stated that another vessel carrying 55,000 tons of petrol is scheduled to anchor at Port Qasim on March 12, while an additional ship bringing approximately 34,000 tons of petrol is expected to arrive on March 13.

It is worth noting here that the development comes just days after the Government of Pakistan announced a major increase in fuel prices. Petrol and diesel prices were raised by Rs55 per liter, a move officials said was necessary due to changes in global oil prices, economic pressures and regional uncertainty.
Energy experts say continued fuel imports remain essential for Pakistan as the country relies heavily on imported petroleum products to meet domestic demand.
