Are you old Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) consumer and still received the notice to switch to new Regasified Liquified Natural Gas (RLNG) connection?
The consumers in Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are confused weither they have to change or switch to RLNG connection or not.
SNGPL officials clarified that the notice does not apply to existing consumers, who will continue to receive gas at their current rates. The notice is intended only for new domestic gas applicants who have been waiting for connections for an extended period.
Officials stated that new gas connections will be billed according to the RLNG-based tariff, which includes the cost of the gas itself as well as operational, distribution, and administrative expenses, as determined and notified by the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

While officials have not yet confirmed the RLNG rates and new tariff structure, however, a report by independent urdu claimed that the new RLNG consumers have to pay 30% additional tariff.
The report further indicated that the supply in the house cut over 1 year will have to apply for new RLNG connection with higher tariff rate.
After a four year ban, the government have announced to give new gas connection across Pakistan back in October 2025.

According to media reports, under the RLNG rate notified by OGRA for October 1, 2025, new consumers would receive gas at Rs4,000 per unit (including sales tax), subject to monthly fluctuations, compared to the current average domestic gas rate of approximately Rs2,000 per

How to Apply for a New RLNG Gas Connection

- The RLNG connection application facility on the SNGPL website is only for domestic connections.
- Ensure your premises are located within SNGPL’s gas network.

Fill in Personal Details
- Provide your full name and father’s/husband’s name exactly as it appears on your CNIC.
- Enter your valid CNIC number and active mobile phone number.
Provide Accurate Address
- Mention your complete and clear address, including the nearest landmark if necessary.
- Applications for properties in illegal or unapproved localities may be rejected.
- Avoid using abbreviations; write your name and address in full.
Upload Property Documents
- Upload a clear scanned copy or picture of your property documents.
- If the documents consist of multiple pages, combine them into a single PDF before uploading.
Submit the Application
- Double-check all the information for accuracy and completeness.
- Submit your application through the official SNGPL portal.
