A severe cold wave continues to affect Pakistan, including Karachi today, as icy winds, dense fog, and freezing temperatures disrupt daily life across the country.

Weather conditions have worsened in recent days, with temperatures dropping sharply in both mountainous and plain areas.

According to weather officials, extremely cold conditions are prevailing in the northern and upper regions of the country, as well as in northern Balochistan.

Heavy snowfall in mountainous areas has covered hills and peaks with thick layers of snow, increasing the intensity of the cold.

Despite harsh weather, many people are still travelling to tourist destinations such as Murree and other hill stations to witness snowfall.

Authorities have urged tourists to take precautionary measures due to slippery roads and low visibility.

In major cities, the temperature also fell significantly. Islamabad and Peshawar recorded zero degrees Celsius, while Lahore saw a low of 5 degrees.

Karachi experienced a minimum temperature of 7 degrees Celsius, making it one of the coldest nights of the season for the city.
