The newly bought Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise from Sialkot is set to announce its official logo and the name of its franchise President today, January 10, co-owner Kamil Khan confirmed.

Sialkot recently became the eighth team in the PSL and the most expensive franchise in the league’s history after OZ Developers, owned by Hamza Majeed, bought the side for Rs. 185 crore at an auction held in Islamabad.

With the addition of two new teams, the PSL will expand from six to eight sides from the 2026 season, which is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3.

According to Geo News, Kamil Khan said the franchise would officially announce its team logo and the name of its President today.

He added that the franchise entered the bidding process with a clear strategy and clear long-term goals.

He further added that the management is eager to build a strong and competitive squad for its debut season.

“Our aim is to bring top international talent to the Sialkot team,” Khan said.

“At the same time, we will rely on a strong local coaching staff to develop our players and represent the region with pride.”

He expressed confidence that the PSL’s popularity will continue to grow, saying fans would turn up in large numbers no matter where matches are staged.

“Wherever the PSL is played, the fans will turn up,” he said.

“The league has grown into a major attraction for cricket lovers across the country.”

Khan also shared his excitement about facing Lahore Qalandars, describing the contests as competitive but friendly.

“The match against Lahore Qalandars will be enjoyable. We are rivals on the field, but we are also friends,” he added.

Highlighting the league’s impact, Khan praised the PSL for playing a key role in strengthening Pakistan cricket.

“The PSL will move forward and become even stronger,” he said.

He further noted that important matters related to the franchise would be finalised in close coordination with the PCB.
