The National Savings Centre announced the first Rs 750 prize bond draw of 2026, scheduled on January 15 in Peshawar, creating renewed interest among investors nationwide.
Officials said the balloting will be conducted at 10 am, and results of 750 prize bond will be officially released the same day through National Savings offices.

Prize bonds are widely regarded as a secure savings instrument in Pakistan because they can be encashed anytime while offering chances to win substantial cash rewards.
750 Prize Bond Winning Amount
- First Prize: Rs1,500,000 (1 winner)
- Second Prize: Rs500,000 (3 winners)
- Third Prize: Rs9,300 (1,696 winners)
Winners can claim their prize money by visiting nearby National Savings branches, where officials verify identity documents and deduct applicable withholding taxes before payment processing amounts.

Withholding Tax Rates Increased
Authorities reminded participants that the Rs 750 prize bond draw is subject to revised tax rules, which came into force from July 2025 onward nationwide.
Under the updated framework, tax filers face a 15 percent withholding tax on winnings, while non-filers are charged a significantly higher 30 percent rate.
Despite increased taxation, prize bonds remain popular because they combine savings security with quarterly draws, attracting individuals seeking low-risk investment options across income groups nationwide.
Premium Prize Bond Draw Schedule 2026
National Savings also released the 2026 schedule for premium prize bonds, detailing multiple draws for 40,000 and 25,000 denominations during year.

Officials said premium bond draws will be held in major cities, including Rawalpindi, Muzaffarabad, Sialkot, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, and Karachi throughout year 2026 schedule.
The department clarified that if a draw date falls on a public holiday, balloting will automatically take place on the next working day as per rules.
