David White, the Chief Executive Officer of the International League T20 (ILT20), has indicated that Pakistan may be considered as a potential host for ILT20 matches in the future.
According to media reports, White said the league enjoys strong ties with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and highlighted his long association with Pakistan cricket.

He recalled touring Pakistan in 1990, where he played two Test matches and three One-Day Internationals.
That tour also marked the end of his international career, as he faced formidable bowling from Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.
White also reflected on his tenure as Chief Executive of New Zealand Cricket, noting that he appointed Mike Hesson as head coach of the national team in 2012.
He expressed confidence that Hesson’s experience and approach could also prove beneficial for Pakistan cricket.

Having taken charge of ILT20’s administrative operations three years ago, White acknowledged that the league faces scheduling difficulties due to an increasingly crowded international calendar.
However, he said these challenges have not discouraged top international players from taking part in the tournament.
He pointed out that several Pakistani players, including Fakhar Zaman, Naseem Shah, Usman Tariq, Hasan Nawaz, and Zafar Gohar, were currently part of the Desert Vipers squad.
White clarified that player selections are handled solely by team management and that the league does not interfere in those decisions.
White added that ILT20 is being run on professional lines with the aim of promoting cricket across the region.
He said the league values the contribution of Pakistani players and hopes to see greater representation from Pakistan in the coming seasons.

He further explained that each ILT20 team follows a specific structure, comprising eight overseas players, two Emirati players, and one associate nation player.
According to White, this model is helping associate nations grow and is playing a positive role in the development of global cricket.
