The Sindh government has approved creation of 8,049 new jobs in the school education and literacy department for the academic year of 2026, marking a major step in education reforms.
According to official documents, the posts have been sanctioned for the School Education and Literacy Department ahead of the 2026 academic year.

A formal approval letter has been issued to the Section Officer (Secondary-I), confirming the creation of new positions across multiple grades.
Officials said the decision aims to strengthen school administration, leadership capacity, and academic management across public sector institutions in Sindh.

Under the approved structure, 44 positions of Chief Head Master or Head Mistress have been created in BS-20, 593 posts of Senior Head Master or Head Mistress have been sanctioned in BS-19, 1,444 posts of Head Master or Head Mistress in BS-18, and 5,968 Head Master or Head Mistress positions have been approved in BS-17.
Education officials said these appointments will address long standing shortages in school leadership across urban and rural districts.

They added that improved administrative presence is expected to enhance discipline, teacher supervision, and overall learning environments.
The Sindh Education Department stated that reforms are being introduced to prepare schools for the upcoming academic session.
