According to an analysis published by the US magazine Foreign Policy, Washington’s approach has tilted in Pakistan’s favor, granting it a level of trust and access that many traditional allies have struggled to achieve.

As a result, Pakistan has regained its position as an important and effective partner for the United States.
Another U.S.-based publication, The Diplomat, has described Pakistan as a focal point of global attention, stating that 2025 marks a year of renewed strategic relevance and strengthened military confidence for Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the British newspaper Financial Times has praised Field Marshal Asim Munir, recognizing him as a skilled figure in multilateral diplomacy.
The publication stressed the military leadership’s firm stance against extremism, highlighting the clear message that the authority to declare jihad rests solely with the state.
This position was described as a major step forward in countering extremism.

The Financial Times further noted that under Trump’s revised foreign policy framework, Pakistan has been portrayed as a successful strategic partner, while India’s standing has noticeably declined.
Previously, the same publication had also acknowledged Field Marshal Asim Munir’s strong leadership qualities, referring to him as an influential strategist in an evolving global landscape.
