A dedicated 24/7 monitoring room has been established at the Passport Department headquarters, where daily operations will be observed, reviewed, and evaluated using a digital integrated dashboard system.
Officials said the dashboard enables real-time monitoring of passport applications, printing progress, and delivery timelines, allowing authorities to track each stage from submission to final dispatch.
Under the new arrangement, every step in the passport issuance process will be digitally visible, helping identify delays, inefficiencies, or irregularities without relying on manual reporting systems.

The system will also automatically detect overcrowding and unusual rush patterns in passport offices, enabling management to take timely steps to improve crowd control and public facilitation.
Performance of officers and staff will be closely monitored through the system, ensuring accountability and encouraging improved service standards across all passport offices in the country.
In addition, the monitoring framework includes oversight of passport printing operations, machinery functionality, and network management to ensure uninterrupted and timely processing of documents.

DG Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi stated that the modern monitoring setup would significantly enhance the overall performance of the department and restore public confidence in passport services.
He said that monitoring would cover everything from staff efficiency to citizen flow in offices, ensuring transparency and discipline throughout the administrative structure nationwide.
