The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued an important advisory for citizens, urging them to collect their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) within the given timeframe to avoid cancellation.
In a public notice, NADRA stressed that once an application for a CNIC is submitted, applicants must collect their card before the specified deadline.

Failure to do so could lead to unnecessary complications.
According to the authority, if a CNIC is not collected within three months of the assigned delivery date, it will be permanently cancelled.
In such cases, citizens will have to apply again and pay the required fee to obtain a new card.
To make the process easier, NADRA has encouraged applicants to use the Pak-Identity mobile application or opt for the home delivery service while submitting their CNIC request.

This allows citizens to receive their identity cards directly at their doorstep, eliminating the need to visit NADRA offices.
Alongside the advisory, NADRA has also shared updated details about CNIC processing fees and timelines across Pakistan.
Applicants can choose from three service categories based on urgency.
Under the normal service, a new CNIC is issued free of cost and processed within 15 days.
Those opting for the urgent service will receive their card within 12 days by paying a fee of Rs. 1,150.

Meanwhile, applicants who require faster processing can select the executive service, which costs Rs. 2,150 and ensures delivery within six days.
NADRA advised citizens to stay informed, collect their CNICs on time, and choose the service that best suits their needs to avoid delays or additional expenses.
