Speaking to the audience, Naqvi said investors were keen to know the league’s timeline.
“A lot of investors here asked us about the timeline of the PSL. So, I can tell you one thing that the PSL 11, by the will of Almighty Allah, will start on March 26, and we are planning to hold the final on May 3,” he said.
The PCB chairman also confirmed a change in the auction date for the two new PSL franchises.
He revealed that the auction will now be held on January 8 instead of the previously announced January 6.

Explaining the reason behind the change, Naqvi said the deadline for submitting bids had been extended by one week.
“Witnessing growing interest from the Europe, USA, the Middle East and beyond in acquiring new HBL PSL teams, we have decided to extend the bid submission deadline by one week to 22 December 2025,” he wrote.
“Good luck to everyone excited to welcome our new franchise owners to the HBL PSL family.”
The New York event followed a successful PSL roadshow at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, where the league attracted strong interest from international investors.
Encouraged by the response, the PCB arranged another roadshow to further engage potential buyers ahead of the auction.

It is worth noting that the PSL started in 2016 with five teams and expanded to six franchises in 2018.
With two more teams set to join from the next edition, the league will grow to eight franchises, marking its first major expansion in seven years.
