Under the Fusion Formula, Pakistan will play all their fixtures in Sri Lanka, a move designed to keep Pakistan and India from touring each other during ICC events while still allowing them to meet on neutral territory.

The adjustments in Sri Lanka’s cricket calendar have also forced SLC to delay the sixth edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL), which was initially planned for November–December.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka are currently in Pakistan for a T20I tri-series that has reached a crucial stage.

Pakistan have already sealed their place in the final, while Sri Lanka must win their last group match to book their spot.
