According to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), both players have been withdrawn from the tour as a precaution so they can receive proper medical care and recover fully before future commitments.
Asalanka’s absence means Dasun Shanaka will lead Sri Lanka during the tri-series.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has added Pavan Rathnayake to the T20I squad as a replacement.
