The Controller of Examinations at the Matric Board Karachi, Professor Dr. Hamza Khan Tagar, has announced that starting in 2026, the assessment of all Class 9 subjects will be conducted through an e-marking system instead of manual checking.

Speaking exclusively to Jang, Dr. Hamza Khan Tagar said that while e-marking will cover all subjects of Class 9, it will initially apply to Biology and Computer Science in Class 10.

He explained that under the guidance of Chairman Ghulam Hussain Sohoo, the examination system is being redesigned to follow the O-Level model.
