Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply to several Karachi areas on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
According to an official media alert, the gas supply will remain suspended from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM to facilitate maintenance on the 16-inch diameter high-pressure pipeline near the ICI Bridge in Karachi.
The affected areas include Maripur Road, Lyari, Sikandarabad, West Wharf, and PN Dockyard, where consumers are likely to experience complete disruption of gas supply during the scheduled repair hours.
SSGC stated that the temporary shutdown is part of necessary safety and maintenance procedures aimed at ensuring the integrity of the gas transmission network and preventing potential operational risks.
The company expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to residents and urged consumers to arrange alternative fuel sources during the period of suspension.
