The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched the updated Pak ID mobile application, allowing citizens to update their mobile numbers and email addresses without visiting NADRA offices.
The new Pak ID Version 5.0.4 provides direct options to change contact details. This feature aims to save time, enhance security, and improve communication between NADRA and citizens across Pakistan.
Step-by-Step Process to Update Mobile Number
- Open the NADRA Pak ID app on your smartphone.
- Go to Profile Settings in the application menu.
- Select the Edit Mobile Number option.
- Enter the new phone number you want to update.
- An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the new number.
- Enter the OTP for verification.
- Once verified, the updated number will be saved to your NADRA profile.
The same process can also be used to update registered email addresses.
Benefits of Updating Contact Details
- Citizens receive real-time notifications about CNIC, NICOP, and Family Registration Certificates.
- Updated details ensure renewal reminders, biometric verification alerts, and security confirmations reach users on time.
- Linking an active number reduces the risk of identity misuse.
New Payment Facilities Introduced
In September 2025, NADRA also introduced flexible payment options for application fees. Now, citizens can:
- Pay directly in cash at NADRA offices.
- Use JazzCash, Easypaisa, or E-Sahulat outlets.
- Pay digitally via a QR code generated at application submission, scanned through mobile banking apps, with instant processing and no extra charges.
Officials say these features reflect NADRA’s focus on digital transformation, expanding self-service options, and improving accessibility for millions of Pakistanis.
