Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi made a surprise visit to the national team’s optional training session at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Saturday.

Naqvi was spotted sitting in the practice dugout alongside fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf, while other squad members continued their preparations on the field.

Later, the PCB chairman was seen standing in the stadium, engaged in discussions with Head Coach Mike Hesson and Pakistan team captain, Salman Ali Agha.

While walking off the ground, Naqvi was also seen praising Pakistan’s young talent, Saim Ayub, before leaving the field.

Naqvi’s visit comes just 24 hours before Pakistan is set to face arch-rivals India in a crucial Super Fours clash on September 21.

Although details of his conversation with players remain undisclosed, media personnel present at the venue interpreted the PCB chairman’s visit as a morale-boosting gesture ahead of the high-stakes showdown.
