In a move to protect pilgrims from fraud and wrongdoing, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony issued an updated list of 113 authorized Umrah companies for the Islamic year 1447 Hijri.
The official spokesperson of the ministry, Muhammad Umar Butt, stated that the verified list of the umrah package provider companies has been uploaded on the ministry’s official website.
The spokesperson stressed that all payments should be made directly through banks into the account of the registered Umrah company to avoid fraud.
Pilgrims have been advised to obtain a payment receipt and a copy of the agreement to prevent any future disputes.
Travelers are also urged to book only with approved operators who offer comprehensive Umrah packages, covering visa, airfare, accommodation, and transport services.
