Pakistan delivered a clinical all-round performance to thrash Oman by 93 runs in their Group Stage clash of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Stadium.
After setting a challenging total of 160/7 in their 20 overs, the Men in Green bundled out Oman for just 67 runs in 16.4 overs, sealing a commanding victory and boosting their net run rate in style.
The foundation of Pakistan’s innings was laid by Mohammad Haris, who bounced back from a lean patch with a blistering 66 off 43 balls, striking 7 fours and 3 sixes.
Haris anchored the innings after early setbacks, with support from Sahibzada Farhan (29 off 29) and a late cameo by Mohammad Nawaz (19 off 10), helping Pakistan post a competitive total on a pitch offering some assistance to bowlers.
Aamir Kaleem was the pick of the bowlers for Oman, claiming 3 for 31, including the key wickets of Farhan, Haris, and skipper Salman Agha in quick succession.

Shah Faisal also impressed with 3 wickets, but the rest of the attack struggled to contain the flow of runs in the middle and death overs.
In reply, Oman never looked comfortable in the chase.
Saim Ayub gave Pakistan the perfect start with the ball, striking twice early to remove Jatinder Singh and Aamir Kaleem, both within the first four overs.
Oman’s middle order offered little resistance, with only Hammad Mirza (27 off 23) showing some fight; however, Pakistan’s bowlers maintained relentless pressure throughout.
Faheem Ashraf and Sufiyan Muqeem each picked up two wickets, while Shaheen Afridi, Abrar Ahmed, and Mohammad Nawaz chipped in with one apiece.
Oman folded for 67 in 16.4 overs – their second-lowest T20I total – handing Pakistan a thumping win.
