The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a three-day weather forecast for Karachi, providing important updates on expected conditions as the city prepares for upcoming Rabi-ul-Awwal events.
Karachi is set to experience warm and humid conditions over the next three days, with a significant weather shift expected by Sunday as monsoon currents strengthen and bring potential thunderstorms to the region.
Weather in Karachi on Friday (September 05):
Residents can expect a warm and humid day with maximum temperatures reaching 34-36°C and a minimum of 27.4°C. Humidity levels will be high at 81% in the morning, dropping to 55-65% in the evening. Westerly winds will prevail throughout the day.
Weather in Karachi on Saturday (September 06):
Similar conditions will continue with warm and humid weather persisting. Maximum temperatures will remain between 34-36°C while minimums will range from 26-28°C. Morning humidity will be slightly lower at 70-80%, with evening humidity maintaining at 55-65%. Winds will shift to west/southwesterly direction.
Weather in Karachi on Sunday (September 07):
A change in weather pattern is expected as monsoon influence increases. The day will be mostly sunny but with chances of thunderstorms and rain occurring particularly in the outskirts of Karachi during evening hours.
Temperatures will slightly decrease to 33-35°C maximum and 26-28°C minimum. Humidity will rise again to 70-80% in the morning and 60-70% in the evening, with west/southwesterly winds continuing.
The weather department also notes that this three-day period represents the calm before more significant weather activity expected next week.
Stronger monsoon currents are forecasted in Karachi to bring widespread rain and thunderstorm activity to the Karachi division from September 7th through September 11th.
