The Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) has released its annual report, ranking the most peaceful countries in the world for the year 2025.
According to the report, Pakistan is among the last 20 countries among most peaceful countries in the world for 2025.
According to this report, this year Pakistan was ranked 144th out of 163 countries, down 4 places, while India was ranked 115th, Sri Lanka 97th, Saudi Arabia 90th, China 98th, United Arab Emirates 52nd, USA 128th, and Bangladesh is at 123rd position.
This list took into account safety, security, conflicts, and other factors to rank the countries.
Iceland was declared the most peaceful country in the world for the 17th consecutive year with a score of 1.095, but this year, the report highlighted an overall score decrease in the ranking of the European countries.

Following Iceland, Ireland and New Zealand have secured the second and third positions as the most peaceful countries, respectively.
While Ireland maintained its second-place ranking, New Zealand saw an improvement, rising from fifth place last year. Austria dropped one spot to fourth, while Switzerland held steady in fifth, and Singapore retained its position in sixth, making it the most peaceful country in Asia.
Portugal ranked seventh, followed by Denmark in eighth, Slovenia in ninth, and Finland in tenth.
At the other end of the spectrum, Russia was ranked last at 163rd place, with Ukraine (162), Sudan (161), the Republic of Congo (160), Yemen (159), and Afghanistan (158) following closely.
In a controversial inclusion, Israel, which has faced criticism for its actions in Gaza, ranked 155th, making it one of the ten least peaceful countries in the world.
